Please read the following information for news from the SCMS nurse and upcoming events at SCMS!

A Message from the SCMS Nurse:

  • Care plans and medication forms are being sent home for students with allergies, asthma, seizures, etc.  Please complete (some require doctor's signature) and return ASAP.
  • Please remember if your child is in 6th grade, they must have a physical.  If your child is in 7th grade, they must have a dental exam.  Both forms are due no later than October 31, 2016.  6th grade students can get their dental exam and turn it in for next year.
  • Health Tip: Please send a clear water bottle, tissues, hand sanitizer, and cough drops with your child when they have symptoms.  Cold/flu/allergy season is here.  Prevention is the key: hand washing, eating a healthy breakfast, and drinking 6-8 glasses of water a day.
  • IMPORTANT!!!!!! Students are NOT permitted to bring medicine to school, even if it is prescribed to them.  If your child takes medicine in the morning, please be sure they are taking it while at home.  If you need to bring in medication for your child, you must bring it in with the proper forms from the doctor.  Students are not permitted to deliver it.  Please contact Mrs. Horton at 224-2106 if you have questions.  Thank you for your cooperation with this important matter.
